					<title>Jingle Bells Ringtone added</title>
					<link>http://peterapel.com/jinglebells.cfm?feature=1060939&amp;postid=135167</link>
					<description>I finally added my own ringtone to my phone. I know I&apos;m one of the last to do this, but I&apos;m still proud, and it&apos;s a lot of fun.&amp;nbsp; If I don&apos;t answer when you call, it&apos;s because I don&apos;t want to interrupt my song,&amp;nbsp; LOL.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Anyway, my first ringtone is Jingle Bells from the arrangement I did last Christmas Eve (see earlier post).&amp;nbsp; I&apos;ll still have to learn about proper ringtone length, ringtone volume, how to mix &amp;amp; master the sound for small devices, and all those good things,&amp;nbsp; So..... I&apos;m sharing this first ringtone for free.&amp;nbsp; I&apos;d love to hear your feedback.&amp;nbsp; Your input may or may not go into Jingle Bells, but it will certainly go into future ringtones from the songs on the &amp;quot;&lt;a target=&quot;_new&quot; href=&quot;./aboutthesongs.cfm&quot;&gt;I&apos;ve Got a Dinosaur on My Head!&amp;quot; collection as well as future albums.&amp;nbsp; Enjoy!

&lt;a href=&quot;./jinglebellsrt.cfm&quot;&gt;Please try out your FREE* &amp;quot;Jingle Bells&amp;quot; ringtone**; then let us know what you think!

					<title>Jingle Bells arrangement by Peter Apel</title>
					<link>http://peterapel.com/jinglebells.cfm?feature=1060939&amp;postid=135166</link>
					<description>(Originally posted Dec 2008. Reposted here in blog format Dec 2009)

As part of my kids&apos; show performances, I&apos;ve been invited to help at some occasional holiday sing-alongs, and this Jingle Bells arrangement evolved starting with some of those events. This song was recorded on the morning of Christmas Eve 2008 when I was supposed to be helping clean the house. It is the &amp;quot;rough-cut&amp;quot; version, favoring &amp;quot;energy&amp;quot; over &amp;quot;accuracy.&amp;quot; It turns out my &amp;quot;Fred Pinsocket Recording Studio&amp;quot; was somewhat out of order that day, and I didn&apos;t take too many precautions to guard against external noise artifacts, distortion, sound levels, and such. Oh...then my stereo microphone setup got messed up, so I was bouncing from left to right tracks; then I couldn&apos;t activate my effects window on the master track; then I was getting a sharp pain in my eye every time I took a drink of my iced tea, so I asked the doctor about it, and he said, &amp;quot;Next time, before you drink, take the spoon out of the glass.&amp;quot;
&amp;nbsp;
...then I ran out of time and couldn&apos;t fix the questionable drum fills, because guests were coming over for Christmas Eve dinner, and I was in charge of the mashed potatoes.

Anyhow, the idea was not for an error-free work of art; it was to capture the energy and spirit of the version we sing around the house (and at the sing-alongs), and to share with friends like you. I know there are thousands of versions of &amp;quot;Jingle Bells&amp;quot; out there. I hope you enjoy this one.
